While sustainability has been a recurring theme at At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy’s signature event, Sunday Luxe, the upcoming series on Sunday, 27 March 2022 will take it to new heights. The event is set for a Modern Asian takeover by Avenue 87 – a proudly local chef helmed restaurant known for its reinterpretation of well-loved Asian favourites inspired by both Chef Glen Tay and Chef Alex Phan’s personal food memories across childhood, travel and career milestones.
Avenue 87 features and supports local and regional producers in a bid to reduce carbon footprint while flaunting the delicious potential of ingredients by smaller-scale farms. Centred on sustainable seafood, the Sunday Luxe menu plays with familiar Southeast Asian flavours and modern gastronomy techniques for a contemporary yet nostalgic taste of comfort.
