Savour exquisite Maison André Goichot wines at Zafferano

On 27 February 2022, Zafferano presents fine wines from Maison André Goichot with five courses of Italian fare curated by Head Chef Andrea De Paola. The family-run Maison André Goichot has spanned three generations since its establishment in 1947 and is considered as one of the most renowned negociants in the region of Burgundy.

The evening commences with a selection of canapés served with a lively André Goichot Petit Chablis 2019 with well-balanced acidity. A vibrant appetiser follows – Sicilian red prawn with pistachio, orange and saffron cacciucco is complemented with a crisp and fresh André Goichot Château du Cray Bourgogne Chardonnay 2019, brimming with aromas of white flowers and dried fruits.

Relish an elegant André Goichot Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru 2019 paired with a flavoursome tortellini with morel mushrooms, guinea fowl, and long pepper consommé. Aged in oak barrels for 15 months, the vintage exudes nuances of black and red fruits with fine tannins. Chef Andrea prepares a main course of succulent venison loin with variations of beetroot and thyme jus that perfectly complements the André Goichot Gevrey-Chambertin 2017. Made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes, the bright ruby wine boasts a bouquet of strawberry, mulberry, violet, mignonette, and rose, as well as velvety tannins and delicate texture.

For desserts, an artisanal cheese selection with honey brioche and strudel cream is enjoyed with the André Goichot Bourgogne 2018 that delivers notes of small red and black fruits with lively structure in the mouth.

The Maison André Goichot Wine Dinner at Zafferano commences at 6:30pm on Sunday 27 February 2022. Priced at $158++ per person, and at an early bird price of $128++ per person.
