From 27 April to 11 May 2023, The Elephant Room will be presenting four skillfully crafted cocktails with Bruichladdich. Part of the distillery’s “We Also Make Whisky” campaign, the collaboration aims to showcase the ‘why?’ behind Bruichladdich’s whisky.
Head down to the renowned bar and try four innovative cocktails featuring the smooth taste of Bruichladdich whiskies paired with beautiful ingredients procured from Singapore’s vibrant Tekka Market, such as mango, turmeric, masala chai, and rose. Sip on the Bruch Lady, a complex drink that plays on a balance of sour, sweet and spicy notes through Amchoor (sour mango powder), or the Spirit-forward Golden Glow presents a tangy blend derived from a four-day lacto-fermented turmeric with oven roasted banana.
If you like your whisky smokier, Black Potion utilising peated Octomore 13.1 Whisky is perfect, as the tipple replicates flavours from Indian tea staple: masala chai. Those preferring a sweeter alternative can look forward to the satiny smooth and floral Candy Shop, with two Bruichladdie whiskies, including Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2012 added in for a kick.
Bruichladdich and The Elephant Room have also teamed up with natural fabric dye aficionado Crystal Lee of The Project Coal to create special Furoshiki bottle wrap cloths using popular Indian ingredients. From 1 to 31 May 2023, these limited-edition furoshiki cloths will be available as a complimentary gift with any purchase of Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Single Malt made on Lazada or Shopee. Consumers will receive a free dram glass too. For every bottle purchased, Bruichladdich Distillery will donate $55 – the cost price of the cloth – to ItsRainingRaincoats.
