An exclusive Sake Pairing dinner experience at LeVeL33

This June, join the world’s highest urban microbrewery LeVeL33 for an exclusive Sake Pairing dinner experience. This 4-course meal with specially curated sakes to pair with each course is limited to only 40 seats and is available only for one night on the 30th of June, 7pm at $188++ per person.

The dinner begins with a ritual seldom seen in Singapore – a Kagami-Biraki or “opening the lid”. This is the ceremonial breaking of a sake barrel lid with a mallet, usually performed at celebratory events such as weddings or festivals, and is a metaphor for opening up victory and good fortune.

But At this dinner, the Kagami-Biraki will be rather special. LeVeL33’s sake partner and founder of sake company Makoto-Ya, Tommy Ng, and founder of LeVeL33, Dr. Martin Bém, comes together to break the lids of a sake barrel, then a beer barrel – in a beautiful gesture of friendship. The sake and beer from these barrels will then be shared with the guests.

Attendees of the dinner will enjoy more sake that is paired with a lush 4-course meal comprising of dishes like the Kombu-cured Kingfish. The dish features an umami Australian kingfish that is cured in kombu, served with dashi jelly and sea grapes – and is paired perfectly with the sweet yet crisp Hyaku Moku Junmai Daiginjo complimenting the juicy brininess of the fish and sea grapes.

Reservations may be secured here at the world’s highest urban microbrewery LeVeL33 for a sake dinner that will transport your palate to a culinary experience that tastes like no other.
