Bangkok’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day party just got even bigger! Already spread
across March 15 and 16, Scruffy Murphy’s Irish Pub’s St. Patrick’s Weekend has just expanded to
Sunday evening, March 17, the official St. Patrick’s Day. Thailand’s general-election schedule has put a crimp on St. Paddy’s celebrations, but Scruffy’s will resume the party with live music starting at 4 p.m. March 17 and its full food and beverage menu at 6 p.m.
Scruffy’s first-ever party on St. Patrick’s Day 2018 was an epic event that dominated Sukhumvit Soi
23. This year, the merriment begins on Friday, March 15, and continues Saturday from 9 a.m.- 6 p.m.
and Sunday from 4 p.m. until “late”, with authentic Irish music, food & beer specials, a lunchtime barbecue and prize giveaways. The three-day party now features four bands, starting with genuine Irish music from Pattaya-based Fāilte and Bangkok’s Coppers & Brass. In addition to the Celtic musicians, Strummz and Soulplay will belt out Irish hits and other popular tunes.
The chef also is working overtime to prepare specials like Bacon & Cabbage, Roast Beef Roll, Dublin Coddle, Irish Stew and Bread & Butter Pudding to add to Scruffy’s already extensive Irish menu. Saturday afternoon will feature a lunchtime BBQ and Sunday join us for the huge Ireland vs. Wales rematch in the Guinness 6 Nations rugby championship.
