A taste of New York City was brought to Manila earlier this year when the famous Magnolia Bakery opened in Bonifacio Global City in August.
For starters, the place itself is quaint, with only one table for standing customers. Unlike other bake shops in Manila that try to cater to the Starbucks-loving masses, M Bakery does not have any couches and WiFi for lounging around — and that’s a good thing. This way, the experience feels a bit more personal and focused: It’s about the baked goods. This is seen in their light marble countertops, well-lit cupcake displays, and vintage-inspired menu blackboards.
