Sunday Roast and Pool will be on the 14th of July 2019 from 11:30 am – 4:00 pm. Sundays are best spent feasting on quality roast dinners and lounging in the sunshine. On that note, Rose Garden Hotel has the trappings of a classic Sunday, with succulent roast beef and fresh seafood, free flow beer and a sun-drenched swimming pool.
Housed in the hotel’s Portico Café & Lounge, the traditional English Sunday roast is a superb choice for families looking for some weekend respite. Local band serenades diners with soft acoustic, and the kids’ corner offers treats and face painting. The appetizers comprised salads, tuna tartare with quail egg, and rolls of Australian-imported beef, seared in the morning, cooled and then sliced, with olive oil. Also on the trolley was a taste of the Levant, in the form of chickpea hummus and tabbouleh.
Aside from the roast beef, vegetables and Yorkshire puddings, the buffet boasts Red Snapper wrapped in banana leafs and cooked in clay. Dipped in lemon butter sauce, this option could leave those set on gravy and beef conflicted between the two (unless you can manage to eat both).Free flow soft drinks are also available, but for something extra special try the restaurant’s wine warehouse, starting from US$12 per bottle, or purchase the Moët & Chandon champagne.
Bites of blueberry cheesecake and passion fruit tart among pastries are for desert. The restaurant has scoops of ice cream – flavors including green tea, and chocolate. Cupcakes, cotton candy and a chocolate fountain prove tempting choices in the kids’ corner, which also has toddler-friendly food, like hotdogs and chicken nuggets. The pool opens at 10 am although after an indulgent lunch, it might be worth hitting the poolside after the meal. Lazing among the garden of hanging egg chairs nestled in a refuge of greenery near the pool will perhaps be the best place to top off a languid weekend.
