The Institut Français de Birmanie introduces Les rendez-vous a new series of concerts at the IFB though cross cultural artistic disciplines to celebrate local creation (visual art, performance, contemporary art).
On March, Friday 23, let’s open the night with the upbeat and energetic tunes of live bands THE REASONABILIST and THE VISION. Finally, the iconic female DJ Yu KT will make you dance till the end of the night with her exceptional blend of Deep House music with Pop and electronical mix and… upcoming surprises for the evening.
THE VISION (Rock Alternative)
Based in Yangon since 2010 the band was formed by 5 members; however, they had already lived their days with music all along even before the idea to stand as a band. Their songs focus more on what they really feel rather than popular romance-trend.
They are now preparing an EP album featuring composition influenced by Blue, Alternative Rock and Reggae genres. Band members are Kyaw Maw Aye (Guitar), Maung Maung Kha (Bass & Vocal), Aung Kyaw Moe (Drum), Phyo Maw Thein @ KBB (Keyboard & Synth), and Thura Kyaw Tun (Vocal).

YU KT (House Music)
Yangon born and raised in the UK, Yu KT started in events promotion and is no stranger to the funky vibes of the underground London dance scene. Heavily influenced by blues, jazz and classical tunes infused with alternative grunge and Latin music, her love for dancing and curiosity of understanding beats from a different perspective led her to hit the decks in no time. With her eclectic taste in music, ranging from minimal, electronic, deep, tech house to techno and 80’s Chicago house, Yu KT takes the room for a flirty spin with her infectious dance grooves.
