This year, GSS: Experience Singapore will extend beyond its usual scope of retail outlets and bring the party to one of Singapore’s oldest urban precincts: Kampong Gelam (KG).

Fret not, for the specially curated KG Precinct Tours will bring you on an adventure – discover KG’s best-kept secrets, from traditional Teh Tarik, ondeh ondeh cakes to murals on alley walls. For more information on detailed tour timings, please refer to the last paragraph.
Over at Baghdad street, do not miss the KG Home & Lifestyle Bazaar (10am-10pm) which will feature sustainably and ethically made homewares from DecoHaus, intricately designed leather poufs by The Pouf.Stop and lovingly handmade furniture from Muse Jars. Also, expect brands like Elephant Parade and Sufi from the Kampong Gelam precinct to show up too!
Tired after a long day of work? Head over to Kandahar Street, grab some satays and kuehs from the nearby food trucks and unwind to performances by local artists. KG SOUQ’s line up includes singing duo Chris and Diana (5 July), singer-songwriter Marian Carmel (11 July), and even an Aliwal Night Crawl Performance (13 July). Come join us, there will be singing (and maybe even dancing) every night!
Activities from 6–7 July
KG NOSTALGIA (3–10PM), also at Baghdad street, allows a trip down memory lane for those of us missing the good ol’ times. Munch on traditional local snacks like Air Batu Malaysia and Bubur SomSom available at the Farmers’ Market and browse vintage clothes, old-school collectibles and antiques in a car boot sale.
Lastly, do not miss projeKGlamway (6 July, 9pm), an outdoor fashion extravaganza happening at Arab Street where you will witness talented designers showcasing their latest collections, with designs inspired by KG.
