Anyone who has crossed paths with Antonio Vargas would have been touched by his warmth, humility, his genius as well as his commitment and passion. For life. For art. For people.
Antonio has always had the desire to take Flamenco out of the tight boundaries of the traditional, predictable performances that most audiences were used to, without compromising its authenticity.
A Tribute to Maestro Antonio Vargas is a gathering of artistes from different genres of the arts that have collaborated in one way or another with him; sharing how they have been influenced or inspired by Antonio in his or her respective expertise.
It will be an evening of music, dance, singing, acting from many talented artistes. With this, we hope to celebrate Antonio’s life and to pay tribute to this amazing man who has performed in virtually every continent of the world, and yet has touched the lives of so many here in Singapore.
