Embark on a Japanese gastronomical journey at Capella Singapore with guest chef Taro Takayama and sake producer Hakugakusen. Helming the kitchen at the recently unveiled Takayama at OUE Downtown Gallery, Chef Taro culinary prowess was honed at three-star Michelin restaurants Osaka such as Kashiwaya in Senriyama and Koryu in Kitashinchi.
Starting off with a sake master class from 3pm to 6pm on 7th February. Drink connoisseurs can indulge in a sake master class at Bob’s Bar with Hakugakusen, where they will taste 4 different types of sake. The session is priced at $38++ per person. The session is followed by a sake drinks reception featuring live stations helmed by Chef Taro Takayama offering Japanese-inspired canapés from 6pm to 9pm, priced at $68++ per person.
The epicurean journey continues with an exquisite 5-course Sake dinner event at Chef’s Table with menu highlights including Tataki Muki Scallop with herbs salad and hazelnut parsnip purée paired with Hakugakusen Tokusen and Citrus Steam Seabream Fillet paired with Hakugasen Wine Cell. The dinner is priced at $238++ per person and will start from 7pm to 10pm.
The Knolls’ iconic Sunday Brunch is elevated on 9th Feb with the addition of a bespoke Sake cocktail.
