The Gyu Bar celebrates Yakiniku Day with an exclusive 1-for-1 promotion

Since its quirky introduction through a fun Japanese linguistic wordplay in 1993, Yakiniku Day on 29 August has been the official day dedicated to the enjoyment of Japanese barbecue. To commemorate this special occasion, The Gyu Bar offers an attractive 1-for-1 promotion for their signature Gyu Bar Platter ($98++), available on 29 August 2022 for dine-in only.

The Gyu Bar Platter presents an enticing journey of wagyu gastronomy for guests with 8 cuts of A5 wagyu selected from Kagoshima and Miyazaki prefectures. Grilled on smokeless Shinpo grills, the premium meats are also served with 5 condiments such as house-blended yakiniku tare sauce, sweet soy sauce-based dip, house-made garlic and leek sauce, pink salt, freshly grated wasabi, and deep-fried garlic chips.

The yakiniku journey comprises:
– Sirloin – a luscious, beautifully marbled cut of meat
– Tenderloin – will satisfy all wagyu lovers with its extraordinary depth of flavour and intense marbling
– Chuck roll (tokujo karubi) that boasts well-balanced marbling and extreme tenderness
– Flavoursome lean top round (oomomo)
– Short plate (karubi), known for its mellow sweetness
– Rump (ichibo), also known as the top sirloin cap that yields extraordinary umaminess
– Rib finger (nakaochi karubi) – a cut taken from between each rib
– Flavourful wagyu tongue, hailing from Australia
