The roots of the Mid-Autumn Festival in Thailand, just like in Chinese culture, can be traced back to a legend. In the Thai rendition, the Eight Immortals travel to the Palace of the Moon with birthday treats for the Goddess of Mercy, and invoke showers of blessings for people on Earth. Blue Jasmine presents two sumptuous Thai feasts, each with its own festive flair, for takeaway via self-collection and delivery. Perfect for convivial gatherings, the Khao Kluk Kapi ($58 nett for 4 persons) and Mid-Autumn Family Set ($68.80 nett for 4 persons) are available from 1 to 30 September 2021.
Blue Jasmine’s interpretation of khao kluk kapi, a little-known dish, lets customers personalise their very own hearty feast ($58 nett for 4 persons), ideal for get-togethers with family and friends. The delectable spread of a rice, two meats, two seafoods, and six sides includes sweet pomelo flesh to signify reunion in celebration of Mid-Autumn. This traditional fried rice dish originated in central Thailand and offers the hallmark flavours of Thai cuisine. Salty, sweet, sour, and spicy notes bloom in a flavoursome plate of shrimp paste fried rice ringed by vibrant accompaniments. Customers are spoilt for choice when creating their khao kluk kapi. Other highlights include crisp Wing Bean and tangy Shredded Green Mango.Specially curated for families who may prefer foods that pack less heat, the 4-course Mid-Autumn Family Set ($68.80 nett for 4 persons) offers exquisite Thai flavours with appetiser, soup, a choice of main course, and dessert. Served with complimentary steamed jasmine rice, the set menu brings loved ones together for the occasion.
