Considered one of the largest folk festivals in the world, Germany’s Oktoberfest has always been a destination for restless feet desiring to experience the wonder of a living piece of culture.
Established German restaurant Brotzeit continues to celebrate this piece of their heritage although it’s no longer happening in Munich.
Brotzeit’s Oktoberfest menu is personally curated by their new Group Executive Chef Lorenz Raich who brings a wealth of experience. There’s flourish to Brotzeit’s hearty Oktoberfest fare; the food is light yet richly savoury in a way that feels both comforting and satisfying.
Highlights include a refreshing Cold Roast Pork, made with slices of slow-roasted pork collar given a lift with house-pickled daikon, rocket leaves and dots of mustard aioli; addictive Crispy Fried Pig Ears; and a Giant Pretzel stuffed with tangy red cabbage and their own Farmer’s Sausage.
Brotzeit has also continued to make the effort to import an Oktoberfestbier from one of only six brewers allowed to serve in Munich so that here in Singapore, their guests also have a chance to taste this limited edition brew from Germany. This year, Brotzeit will be the only restaurant in Singapore serving Oktoberfestbier from Hofbräu, a Munich brewery with over 400 years of tradition and history.
Their tradition of offering games and other entertainment during the Oktoberfest continues – but this year, the games are designed to be played tableside. This helps the team observe social distancing and other safety measures and adds another layer of fun to an Oktoberfest meal at Brotzeit!
