Simplybakez (@simplybakez) is the sixth in the line-up of home-based bakers to realise their aspirations at Baker X, a baking studio and café in Orchard Central from 5 to 24 April 2022.
Baker X was launched by Far East Organization in December 2021 with the aim of supporting bakers who wish to explore scaling up into full-fledged outlets, providing them a business opportunity through Baker X with a fully fitted baking studio and 10-seat café operated in tandem with social enterprise, Foreword Coffee Roasters.
Chong Zhi Chiun (Zee), Founder and Baker of Simplybakez will be presenting an assortment of delicately designed Korean minimalistic and modern Bento Cakes, 4” Cakes, Fruit Shortcakes, and Sliced Cakes, each with their own delectable twists. Adhering to a motto of simplicity, Zee focuses on few but quality ingredients for her bakes, without the use of buttercream, fondant, preservatives, additives, artificial chemicals and softeners. The aesthetically pleasing cakes are made with all-natural soft gel paste food colouring as well as non-dairy cream.
Savour their eye-catching Bento Cakes – a petite Bento Cake of the Day (from $25 for a 4- inch whole cake) and 4” Cake of the Day (from $35 for a 4- inch whole cake) featuring two-layered and three-layered sponge cake with free-hand drawn decorations. Be enchanted by the Fruit Shortcakes ($16.80) such as the Strawberries Shortcake, Mango Shortcake, and Green Grapes Shortcake. Single sliced cakes (from $7) are also available in five delightful flavours – Classic Chocolate, Coffee, Speculoos Cookie, Cookies & Cream, and Matcha.
