From 1 to 31 December, Restaurant Gaig marks the beloved holiday period with an ode to cherished festive traditions. Executive Chef Marti Carlos and his team presents specially curated Festive Plates for both dine-in and takeaway. For festive revelry at home, Gaig also offers their takeaway- exclusive Christmas Gourmet Box of Spanish treats.
Festive Plates for both dine-in and takeaway/delivery:
Escudella ($22++) – a time-honoured nourishing soup slow-cooked for hours with sausages, jamon bone, veal back bone as well as a medley of vegetables. A large pork meatball (also known as pilota) stuffed with truffle is cooked in the soup before being sliced and served alongside galets, a special Catalonian pasta only available during the holidays.
Lobster Juicy Rice ($70++) – a true delicacy that showcases gleaming pearls of rice in rich lobster stock and crowned with a rare French blue lobster.
Poularde ($32++) – pays homage to the Christmas classic roast capon, the deboned spring chicken rendition brims with fresh black truffles
Spanish Suckling Pig ($288++ for whole suckling pig, $168++ for half a suckling pig).
A stupendous centrepiece that will charm all revellers with its succulent meat and crackled skin.
Indulge in festive desserts such as Chocolate Christmas Logcake ($12.50++), Tortell de Reis ($10++ per person, up to 6 persons), and Chocolate and Cointreau Nougats ($15++).
