Périgord Black Truffle Wine Dinner

Exclusively on one night only, savour the finest Chianti Classico wines paired with contemporary Italian fare and Périgord black truffles at Zafferano. On 31 January, Head Chef Andrea De Paola and team present a five-course menu alongside Old World vintages from the vineyards of Il Molino di Grace in Chianti, Tuscany.

 

Highlights of the 5-course wine dinner includes the robust superfino Carnaroli Acquerello risotto with foie gras, fermented garlic jam, and Périgord truffle complemented with Il Molino di Grace Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2016 – a remarkable vintage with a subtle, spicy bouquet backed by distinctive minerality. An impressive Il Molino di Grace Chianti Classico Gran Riserva “Margone” DOCG 2011 is also selected to pair with the stunning main course of MBS 8-9 Tajima wagyu beef striploin with roasted Jerusalem artichoke, horseradish hollandaise, and finished with Périgord truffle. Made with grapes handpicked from dedicated Riserva vineyards, the deep crimson wine boasts great depth on the palate, as well as a velvety texture with a lingering finish.

 

The Périgord black truffle and Il Molino di Grace wine dinner is available at Zafferano at 7pm on 31 January 2021, Sunday. The five-course set menu is priced at $198++ per person.
