The Sampan, located on the iconic Boat Quay, right along the Singapore River is celebrating romance this February with an exclusive three- course contrasting menu priced at $128++ per couple. From Monday, 11th of February till Friday, 15th of February, couples are invited to take in the stunning views of Singapore River and indulge in a thoughtfully curated “His” and “Hers” Valentine’s Day selection.
Typically, it is said that men love meat more and the women should be served a lighter protein. But at The Sampan, the kitchen is not making this assumption. Couples are invited to take their culinary journey together to explore, learn, share and appreciate each other’s preferred tastes and flavours.
For starters, the Head Chef has that laid out the Coquilles Saint-Jacques or juicy pan- fried Scallops on Praew Pesto (Asian Pesto) served with Pumpkin Croquettes or Bone.
Marrow & Red Chimichurri, a buttery rich bone marrow gratin spiced with bold homemade smoky red Chimichurri cooked to perfection and served with spiced flat bread.
Couples are then given the choice of their mains. Either the Asian Flavored Fish En Papillote or fragrant baked red snapper infused with fresh ginger, coriander served with roasted seasonal veg topped with sizzling Asian salsa or a juicy 300gm Asian Spiced Ribeye Steak, glazed with piquant homemade Sambal Ijo with a side of roasted sweet potatoes and silky cauliflower puree – couples can take their pick from two incredible main courses.
The Sampan is open weekdays for lunch from 11.30am to 2.30pm and dinner from 5.00pm to midnight and Saturdays for dinner from 5.00pm to midnight.
