Ree and Mummy (@reeandmummy) follows a succession of home-based bakers in residence at Baker X since the baking studio and café in Orchard Central launched end of last year. The fourth in line, Ree and Mummy will operate Baker X from 22 February to 6 March 2022.
Baker X was launched by Far East Organization in December 2021 with the aim of supporting bakers who wish to explore scaling up into full-fledged outlets, providing them a business opportunity, at no cost, through Baker X with a fully fitted baking studio and 10-seat café operated in tandem with social enterprise, Foreword Coffee Roasters.
Ree and Mummy will run Baker X with a collection of creations that highlight the freshest quality ingredients. Order all-time favourites like the Pineapple Cheesecake, Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake, and Macadamia Cheesecake ($6.50 per slice, from $35 for 6-inch cake), as well as the Almond Pecan Toffee, Walnut Cranberries Toffee, or Hazelnut Truffle Toffee (from $17 for a 200g Baker X-exclusive size, $30 for 400g only in selected flavours). Dine in to cool off with the Vanilla Ice-cream with Toffee bits ($8.90) – another Baker X exclusive, or get The Hope Box ($35) that makes a thoughtful gift.
Also available at Baker X is The Breakthrough Box. Using a wooden mallet, customers can smash through a toffee, nuts and chocolate bark that consists of macadamia, pistachio, hazelnut, almond, and pecan ($58 | $38 for Mini Breakthrough Box with three types of nuts). The kit comes with a Breakthrough declaration card to fill in an area of interest that customers would like to personally experience a breakthrough in, with the smashing symbolising ‘out with the old, in comes the new’!
