Christmas has always been a significant occasion for Chef Damian D’Silva and his family, with the joyous season being celebrated with feasts shared with relatives, friends, and neighbours. From 15 to 31 December 2022, Chef Damian invites guests at Rempapa to join in the merry celebration with his renditions of classic British dishes featuring Singapore heritage flavours, available for dine-in and takeaway. Exclusively for takeaway are whole kuehs and cake – perfect as gifts for loved ones.
Available only for takeaways are four festive dishes, the first being the Roast GG French Poulet with Rempapa Spices ($90+; 1.3kg). This is Chef Damian’s take on the roast chicken – a classic at festive tables.
Next, for the Spiced Meatloaf with Sambal Mashed Potatoes ($90+; 1.2kg tray), pork, onion, carrot, celery, and garlic are cooked with nutmeg and curry powder and topped with potatoes mashed with a sambal made with rempah titek and Bombay onions.
Both main courses are served with Bubble & Squeak on the side. Rempapa’s version of the Sunday staple made with leftovers from the day before include Brussels sprouts, Bombay onions, roasted pork, shallots, and garlic. For dessert, Spotted Dick with Gula Melaka Custard ($35+; 500g roll) blends the traditional steamed pudding with well-loved heritage flavours.
The four festive dishes are also presented in a Festive Platter ($120++; serves four persons), exclusively available only for dine-in guests at Rempapa.
For festive gifting, choose from a selection of whole kuehs and cake: Kueh Bingka ($60+), Bika Ambon ($65+), Kueh Salat ($60+), and Sugee Cake ($85+).
