From 1 July to 7 August 2022, Arc-en-ciel (arcenciel.sg) will begin her residency, presenting elegant French and Japanese-inspired Mousse Cakes starting from $10.50 each.
Arc-en-ciel translates to rainbow in French, something that brings smiles to everyone. That is what Lin Jiawen, Founder and Baker of Arc-en-ciel strives to achieve with her bakes. Jiawen discovered her love for baking in 2014 after a 6-month sabbatical break from her corporate job. She enrolled in At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy to study the art of pastries. After graduation, she worked at different restaurants and cafes and found her love and passion for mousse cakes. Her experience in working with experts coupled with her determination to create the perfect mousse cake led to the launching of Arc-en-ciel at the end of 2020.
Jiawen draws inspiration from her overseas cake explorations as well as from friends and her loved ones. All her creations are affectionately named. For example, Dalí was inspired by an incredible chocolate tart from the restaurant Le Dalí in Paris that Jiawen visited in 2017. The philosophy at Arc-en-ciel lies in creating the best mousse cakes with innovative flavour combinations using quality ingredients.
