City Square Mall has an exciting lineup of activities for shoppers on National Day! From 1pm to 5pm on 9 August 2022 City Square Mall’s Level 1 Atrium will be filled with food & activities booths. Come and play the giant flag eraser game or a giant pick-up sticks game with your friends and loved ones just like the good old days! For the younger ones who may be unfamiliar with these old school games fret not as there will also be a roving balloon sculptor face painting station and a colouring station available for their enjoyment.
No celebration is complete without food so do keep a lookout for the F&B booths at this celebration. There will even be a kacang puteh booth a rare sight to see in this modern age! This local snack consists of a wide variety of titbits wrapped in a conical white paper used to be a popular favourite in Singapore’s early days. One can also look out for an old school ice cream booth where you can get your small block of ice cream sandwiched between wafer biscuits or bread. How simply nostalgic!
To celebrate inclusiveness this National Day regardless of race language religion City Square Mall has partnered with the Disabled People’s Association (DPA) to have a booth at this event to raise awareness about the need for a more inclusive and accessible Singapore. Shoppers can also look forward to a special performance by the DPA on that day.
