Time: 10am – 8pm
Venue: Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre Gallery, Level 2

Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) launched its first “singing” red packet this year! It pays tribute to our local Chinese New Year practice – the tossing of the yusheng (lohei). This collaborative effort by local illustrator Ah Guo (Lee Kow Fong) and pianist-composer Peng Chi Sheng made the red packets come alive with a beautiful yusheng painting paired with a catchy Chinese New Year tune titled The Lo Hei Song.

As an extension of the “singing” red packet project, the “So Much Fun” – An Ah Guo Special Exhibition showcasing Ah Guo’s works will be held at the SCCC Gallery from now till 7 February. This curated collection debuts 57 original artwork illustrated by Ah Guo from 2016 to 2018. Public will also get a chance to “walk into” the yusheng painting commissioned by SCCC and take pictures with the characters in the painting.

Visitors will also be able to redeem a set of SCCC’s limited edition “singing” red packets at the exhibition, while stocks last.
