One of Asia’s marquee literary festivals, and one of the few multilingual literary festivals in the world, celebrating the written and spoken word in Singapore’s four official languages – English, Malay, Chinese and Tamil. SWF hosts the most exciting writers and thinkers of our time and is an exciting platform for dialogues and exchange of ideas, with a multi-faceted and multi-disciplinary programme, including panel discussions, workshops, lectures and performances. Join us at SWF from 30 Oct – 8 Nov 2020 and catch the first ever edition to be presented digitally from the comfort of your home.
This year, SWF focuses on the theme of ‘Intimacy’. In a year of quarantines and social distancing, the festival interrogates notions of community mindedness, loneliness, mental health, our need for physical and human interaction, and what intimacy resembles in a time of pandemic and the lack of human contact.
