Meet the Artist | Rirkrit Tiravanija’s We don’t recognise what we don’t see Opening Day

Come meet the artist, Rirkrit Tiravanija, on the occasion of his second exhibition with STPI Gallery, We don’t recognise what we don’t see. Curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, this exhibition is a visceral experience provocatively designed to engage the mind and senses through the audience’s own participation, an enduring element of Tiravanija’s practice.

Centred around the theme of extinction, the show is born from a meditation on the value and treatment of other lifeforms. It suggests that humankind’s inconsequential regard for animals and our natural world stem from mankind’s hubris, blinding us to the devastating consequences of the cumulative destruction around us.

We look forward to seeing you then.
