Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2019 – Civic District: Exhibitions at National Gallery Singapore

Welcome the new year with Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2019, the largest countdown event in Singapore, and visit the first exhibition on Minimalism in Southeast Asian that gives you a look into this influential art movement that has had a profound influence not only on the visual arts, but also on music, performance, fashion, architecture and design.

 

Watercolour paintings by pioneer artist Lim Cheng Hoe will take you back to scenes of yesteryear while Wu Guanzhong continues to delight, merging vibrant styles of East and West. Long-term exhibitions on Singapore and Southeast Asian art from the 19th century to present are also open to visitors.

 

Admission fees apply for the Minimalism exhibition. Admission to other permanent galleries will be free for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents upon showing their pink or blue Identity Cards at the ticketing counters, only on the 31st of December.
