Have you ever baked bread with fire? In this special class, we will teach you how to make sourdough bread or focaccia bread and we will cook it together in our restaurant’s woodfired oven. Our woodfired oven was designed and built by me and my partner, and it is unique in because of the materials used and the real wood we burn.
We will start by giving you an introduction on sourdough and why it’s the best way to make bread. Then, we will mix the starter together. Once the starter is ready, we will use an industrial dough mixer to make a big batch of dough. After the dough has been mixed, you’ll help to divide it in smaller parts and fold it. Depending on what bread you’d like to try, you can add spices, seeds or vegetables to your loaf/focaccia.
While the bread bakes in the oven, let’s sit down and enjoy a coffee made from beans we roast in house.
