Goodman Grows Weekend

Arts House Limited (AHL) is once again collaborating with Cultivate Central to organise the second edition of Goodman Grows Weekend from 11 to 12 March 2022 at Goodman Arts Centre. In this year’s edition, Goodman Grows Weekend features a series of workshops, free programmes and digital offerings that aim to educate the wider community about environmentally friendly practices whilst connecting arts, nature and culture.

Goodman Grows Weekend 2022
Goodman Grows aims to build an engaged community of arts and nature ambassadors. This year’s programmes include:
• 15 creative and eco experiences for different age groups – workshops, pop-up performance, movement with nature, trails and storytelling, biodiversity explorations.
• Down to Earth Market on 12 March
• 5 open studios by artists
• Online content: 6 podcasts, Create with Nature videos and activity sheets to guide and eco-positive footprint
• Kawan Kebun Goodman volunteer sessions – urban gardening at Goodman Grows

Goodman Grows Weekend is part of the larger Goodman Grows initiative launched by AHL in 2021. A socially-driven community farm and art project connecting artists, food growers, nature and community, Goodman Grows encourages the arts tenants of Goodman Arts Centre and the public to embrace eco-friendly practices such as reducing food waste, composting, growing produce, recycling and protecting biodiversity, while engaging with nature and arts & culture in an urban community farm setting.

Goodman Grows 2022 programme comprises the Centre’s Kawan Kebun Goodman sessions which involve community gardening of edible fruits and vegetables, arts sessions, as well as garden maintenance activities. In addition to on-site activities, members of Cultivate Central and tenant artists and art spaces of Goodman Arts Centre such as Mural Lingo, RAW Moves, The Artground, Apsaras Arts, Khairulddin Wahab, Kamini Ramach
