The external beauty of flowers has captivated the hearts of many, but it is also their embedded symbolism in diverse cultures that inspired bountiful masterpieces.
was initiated as a two-part art song recital, presenting 38 individual flowers – Part One in Singapore and Part Two in Hong Kong. However, due to the audience’s popular demand, we have decided to present Part Two in Singapore instead.
Continue with us on our journey as Joyce Lee Tung (soprano) and special guest Robert Heimann (pianist) present 16 different flowers depicted in art songs by composers – Claude Debussy, Americ Goh, Edward MacDowell, Roger Quilter, Max Reger, Hermann Reutter, Franz Schubert, Robert Stolz, and Richard Strauss.
