Our heart is the most important organ in the body. Great care has to be taken to ensure that it is well protected as it can become susceptible to many conditions as we age.
On 27th August 2022, Saturday, from 2PM – 4PM at Mount Elizabeth Novena Level 9 Conference Room, Edwards Lifesciences is organising the second part to their Heart Health Series titled Listen To Your Heart for attendees to learn more about how structural heart defects can afflict the young and elderly through the different types of heart diseases, how early detection and rehabilitation is highly crucial for cardiac longevity.
This is done in partnership with Mount Elizabeth and Dr Edgar Tay, Cardiologist and Interventional Cardiologist at Asian Heart & Vascular Centre, Mount Elizabeth.
During the talk, Dr Tay will talk about what can go wrong with an aging heart, heart structure, and if there are any spare parts of our heart. He will also talk about how early detection, treatment and exercise prescription are needed to ensure patients continue to live and enjoy the fullest life possible.
Joining Dr Tay will be Ms Farrah Teo, Manager (Public Health) & Exercise Physiologist from Sports & Cardiology Centre, to share how to live life to the fullest, post-surgery, and how early screening and rehabilitation is highly crucial for cardiac longevity.
