How does the community spirit look like to you in times of crisis?
Organised by the Singapore National Co-operative Federation (SNCF), Co-op Hot Shots is back for its eighth edition and is calling all photography enthusiasts and visual storytellers to inspire us through their lens. Themed Make the Difference, Co-op Hot Shots 8 (2021) aims to shine the spotlight on the silver linings of COVID-19 – people coming together as a community to support one another and the outpouring of compassion as we carve out a better world.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted almost all aspects of our lives, it has also opened new opportunities and possibilities for us to collaborate, co-operate and build a more resilient community. So, put on your lens of humanity and share with us moments that show how people have made a difference to the community in these challenging times.
Comprising “Local Open” and “International” categories, the competition is open to local and international participants across all ages, with cash prizes of up to S$1,000 to be won.
Participants can submit their photos online here or on Instagram with the hashtags #makethedifference and in accordance with their respective category, #coophotshots8_local or #coophotshots8_international. There is also a new Social category where 5-10 shortlisted entries will be uploaded on SNCF’s Instagram page (@sncfsg) for public voting, and the post with the most likes will win S$100.
Entry submission dates:
4 January 2021 – 28 February 2021
Co-op Hot Shots 8 will be judged by a professional panel that includes:
• Allan Lee, Founder of OurShutterJourney.com
