The Singapore Cocktail Festival (SGCF) returns in 2019, from 10 to 18 May. As Singapore marks its bicentennial year in 2019, the larger-than-ever programme line-up brings together Singapore’s vibrant cocktail scene and the best bartenders and bars from around the world.
The festival begins with the Asia’s 50 Best Bars awards ceremony on 9 May 2019, followed by the sensational Festival Village that returns to the Empress Lawn from 10 to 12 May 2019. Festival goers can also anticipate an exciting line-up of bar tours, bar takeovers and more happening across the island. This year’s edition also sees the launch of an all-new component, the #SGCFBarAcademy, where members of the bar community can engage in an exchange of knowledge and discussion about leading topics on cocktail culture.
The highly anticipated Festival Village will play host to award-winning bars on the Asia’s 50 Best Bars list, on top of local bar stalwarts, artisanal spirits brands and the ever-popular food street. A new addition to the Festival Village is the “Barstylez International Bartender Championship”, where over 60 bartenders from more than 25 countries compete in a showcase of their finest skills. Additionally, a fresh initiative on environmental sustainability ushers in social and green-conscious transformation for the cocktail culture and bar community. For the groovy set, the Festival Village programme also features a lively host of acts and DJ sets that is sure to bring the festival alive.
