For the 15th Italian Contemporary Art Day, the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute Jakarta in collaboration with Yeo Workshop Singapore and A.M.A.C.I (Associazione dei Musei d’Arte Contemporanea Italiani) will hold a solo exhibition by Italian artist Filippo Sciascia, titled Primitive Mornings. Sciascia, born in 1972 in Sicily, is a painter based in Bali and Florence who sometimes incorporates natural colors, such as green juice from leaves, and repurposed objects in his works. Prior to the Jakarta event, he has held exhibitions across Southeast Asia, Europe, and America.
The exhibition will run from Saturday, November 30 to Jan 11, 2020 at Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Central Jakarta, opens at 11am-8pm daily (closed on Sunday, Monday, and national holidays). Free entry.
