Pakistan Now, Jakarta Later: an exhibition by Manolo Ty

Hailing from the city of Hagen in Germany, photographer Manolo Ty has been interested in the diversity of cultures, traditions, and intercultural understanding around the world. With his work, he has traveled to more than 100 countries to date. Ty is the author and photographer of two coffee-table books on contemporary Pakistan, as well as the director and producer of the documentary film Gender X.

In this exhibition, several artists of art collective Gudskul reworked Ty’s works without restrictions of any kind, based on their personal interpretations of observing his work for the first time.

The exhibition opens today at 8pm and will be held until Wednesday, March 18 at Gudskul Ekosistem, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. Opens 10am-10pm daily, free entry. Contact Robet at +62 899 844 0093 for more information.
