Legend has it that The Underground is gathering some of the finest Hong Kong bands to perform in one epic night of musical mayhem! On 23rd October, we celebrate live music in Hong Kong, with 5 bands who have become legends on the live music circuit.
Starting off with a bang, cinematic rockers NOWHERE BOYS are set to stun with their anthemic tunes, delivering arena-worthy performances with swaggering stage presence to boot.
Next up is HELIUM3, true legends of the scene- their first Underground performance was in 2007 at Les Visages under their old band name Skin Deep! Enthusiastically praised by our reviewers as Franz Ferdinand meets The Jam, we’re all super excited to see what these rock n’ roll kingpins have to offer.
The inimitable ANDY IS TYPING… promises a tumultuous set of alternative rock ‘n roll vibes. With singles already streaming on all mainstream platforms, these local lads will have you jumping and singing along in no time- no ellipses needed.
On fourth are our favourite party rockers WONDERGARL, who performed in Canada in 2014 at an alt-music festival and rubbed shoulders with bands like Sublime with Rome. These infectiously fun rockstars promise a set worthy of their international credits!
And if you weren’t dancing before, you will be when headline act Hong Kong rock royalty SHUMKING MANSION take to the Underground stage for the SEVENTH time to deliver their signature psychedelic dance-rock that will transport you to another dimension!
The party is sure to spill out onto the streets of Lan Kwai Fong. Come along to honour some of the hardest working bands in Hong Kong and to celebrate their passion and resilience- and also celebrate YOU, their amazing fans!
Doors open at 9pm and first band is on at 9:15pm. Please do remember that the venue only permits guests who have had at least one vaccination jab.
