After going dark during the pandemic, former backpacker destination Khaosan Road will spring back to life this weekend with light installations, music, tours, food, art workshops and more.
Running from now through Nov. 15, Khao San Hide and Seek highlights include colorful displays and light installations at eight spots along its main road and alleys. Nearly 20 bands from Silpakorn University’s Faculty of Music will perform live while daytime and nighttime walking tours are offered on select dates. On the weekends, art studios will lead workshops from embroidering khon costumes and carving banana stalks to making khaotom nam woon sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves.
The 10-day event is organized by the Khaosan Road Business Association, Bang Lamphu community, art studios and Silpakorn University students. More details are available online.
