After the success of Shakespeare adaptations “As You Like It” in 2018 and “Midsummer Night Dream” in 2017, Bangkok Community Theatre (BCT) will once again bring Shakespeare to Bangkok, this time with a surprising pirates theme. Directed by Ethan Oulton, BCT’s Twelfth Night is a modern swashbuckling take on a classic comedy of love, gender swapping and mistaken identity. Opening on a dramatic shipwreck on the island of Illyria, Shakespeare’s most beloved heroine finds herself haplessly & hysterically trapped through all of love’s amusing comedies as she struggles to seek out her true soul mate.
