One step closer for winning the trip to Canada! The Underground is delighted to announce the five finalist bands for Planetrox China Final 2019:

• Wreckage of Progress
This year we have five Hong Kong bands in the final and only one of these bands will get the chance to represent China to perform at the Envol et Macadam alternative music festival in Quebec, Canada this September without paying a single penny for their flight tickets and accommodation! The winning band will perform at the festival and be included in the festival promotions. They will also have free entry to attend all stages and mingle with music professionals and other bands.
This year, the grand finale of Planetrox China 2019 will be held on 29th June 2019 (Saturday) at The HUB in Wanchai. Each band will have 20 minutes to lure the judge panel and the audience through their musical talent. The final results will be decided by the judges and the audience together, (75% judges and 25% audience). Confirmed judges are Simon Gaudry, Envol et Macadam, Jan Lo (singer of Qiu Hong) and Jordie Guzman (Studio B Producer, Bassist, Podcaster)
Former winners include “Noughts & Exes”, “Shotgun Politics”, “WonderGarl 神奇膠”, “Bamboo Star”, “Sugar Bro”, “NastyDudes” and “Loud Shaft” from Hong Kong and “Turtle Giant” from Macau. All the bands enjoyed this invaluable experience and some even describe it as “probably the best thing ever to happen to our band”.
