Maggie Joan’s X Portland Restaurant British Invasion 4-Hands Collaboration

Forget reinvented fish and chips or bangers and mash; the ‘British Invasion’ invites you to experience Britain’s bounty in contemporary and inventive ways. Head Chef Zach Elliott-Crenn of London’s one Michelin-starred Portland Restaurant will be collaborating with Group Executive Chef Seumas Smith of Maggie Joan’s for a two-days only tasting menu happening on 8th and 9th May 2019. The young and highly accomplished chefs will present an 8-Course Tasting Menu that celebrates their discovery of seasonal produce from the British isles. Dishes from Chef Zach include Portland classics and new dishes, such as Carrot financier served with hazelnut praline and extra matured Cornish gouda, Cornish pollock with squid ink, and white sprouting broccoli and sea lettuce, amongst others. Chef Seumas’ line-up of creations will showcase his finesse in modern European flavours – Neal’s Yard goat’s curd paired with peas, morels and wild garlic, and Mey Selections Beef tartar with miso, tomato and potato are but some of his dishes to look forward to.

Maggie Joan’s X Portland Restaurant: A ‘British Invasion’ 4-Hands Collaboration will take place on 8th & 9th May 2019. Priced at $140++, the 8-Course Tasting Menu will be available for dinner on 8th May, and for both lunch and dinner on 9th May; wine pairings at an additional $90++ or a glass of Scottish Rock Rose Gin & Tonic at $24++.
