On 13 April 1742, Messiah burst onto the stage in Dublin. More than 250 years after the composer’s death, the Baroque-era masterpiece still awes audiences worldwide. In celebration of the 281st anniversary of its April composition, Messiah will be performed in its entirety by a refreshing new chamber ensemble, Consonance – A Choral Collective, conducted by Singapore-based American conductor, Tom Anderson, a seasoned conductor on the island for 24 years. Consonance – A Choral Collective is comprised of accomplished choristers from a wide variety of choral enterprises, while the professional soloists feature some of the freshest and experienced voices on Singapore stages.
