Celebrate love and passion this Valentine’s Day at Restaurant Gaig with an indulgent repertoire of gastronomic pleasures. This February 14th, be pampered with an impeccable 6-course dinner fare ($160++ per diner), showcasing Chef Marti’s innovative interpretation of traditional Catalan recipes.
Commence the evening on a luscious note with an inviting appetiser – Maremoto, starring fresh sea urchin and Carabinero prawn tartar served in sea urchin shell topped with Oscietra caviar. This is followed by Foie Gras, a remarkable starter showcasing four decadent tiers of house made French duck liver terrine and fresh black winter truffles shavings.
Be enamoured with the signature Cannelloni. Served in a pair, enjoy the eponymous 150-year-old Gaig’s traditional cannelloni stuffed with beef and pork and the restaurant’s seasonal rendition of the time-honoured pasta filled with fresh winter truffles and soft cheese. The mains highlight pan-seared Spanish turbot served with beurre blanc and Oscietra caviar and the classic Duck magret with pear and chestnuts sauce.
To conclude the evening, be charmed by chef’s exquisite take on the well-loved Valentine’s dessert – Chocolate and hazelnut. The splendid treat features a dark chocolate sphere filled with a rich chocolate and hazelnut foam and chocolate ice cream.
