Award-winning steakhouse, Bedrock Bar & Grill, welcomes 2022 with a new format for its signature World Meat Series. Into its sixth successive year, the quarterly showcase shines the spotlight on the finest cuts of premium and lesser-known meats from around the world.
From 11 January to 31 March 2022, savour the delectable flavour and tenderness of the esteemed Satsuma Gyu 4% Miracle Beef in four cuts that take centre-stage – Beef Tartare, Boneless Wagyu Chuck Rib, Wagyu Ribeye Sando and Woodfire Grilled Wagyu Striploin over a one-night only wine dinner on opening night, or the same tasting menu offered with a top-up option for wine or whisky pairings during the remaining promotional period.
Satsuma Gyu is acclaimed for its rich marbling that enhances the beef’s tenderness and juiciness. Recognised as a rarity amongst the rare, Satsuma Gyu is an exclusive subgroup of Kagoshima Wagyu bred only by 12 award-winning Kagoshima-based beef producers with the status of ‘Meijin’ that is conferred to Japanese Wagyu competition prize winners. The stringent considerations for the beef to be labelled an authentic Satsuma Gyu ensues in only 4,000 qualifying heads of cattle each year of Wagyu grade 4 and above. Amongst the shortlisted cattle, only 4% has over 80% of fat to reach a perfect marbling score of 10 and above.
Diners can enjoy the famed Kagoshima craft beef with an opening night special 5-Course Wine Dinner ($168++ per person) on 11 January 2022 at Bedrock Bar & Grill. For the remaining promotional period, the same wine pairings are offered as a top-up option at $88++ per person to complement a 5-Course Dinner Tasting Menu ($168++ per person) till 31 March 2022. Selected dishes on the tasting menu are also available as à la carte specials from $38++ for diners who wish to add a dish or two to Bedrock Bar & Grill’s popular mainstays.
